Stephen was born and raised in San Jose, CA. He attended West Valley Community College where he studied Business, Communications, and Music. As a volunteer and intern, Stephen served in high school ministries at Hillside Church in San Jose for 8 years. It was during this time that Stephen felt God calling him to pursue youth ministry as a vocation. Stephen moved to Rocklin, CA where he studied Youth Ministry at William Jessup University and graduated in 2012. While away at school, Stephen continued to serve in high school ministries as an intern at Granite Springs Church of Lincoln. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity from Western Theological Seminary. Stephen married his long time friend Lauren, who is also a native of San Jose, in October 2012. They meet in high school at youth group, but did not start dating until college. Stephen and Lauren have served together in high school ministries since 2010. God brought them to FBC Watsonville in the fall of 2014 where they continue to serve together in student ministries. Stephen enjoys being outdoors hiking, playing sports, and exploring. He races his car (legally) with the BMW Car Club of America and loves spending time with family, friends, and students.

Jeff grew up in the Central Valley of California and has been involved in the ministry since 1984. He has been at FBC since 2012. He has his BS in Biblical Pastoral Studies and continued his studies at Western Seminary Phoenix. Jeff has been involved with Student ministry, Worship and Arts and discipleship ministry for the last 30 years. His passion is to see the church gathered passionate for Jesus and activly loving those around them in very real ways. Jeff has been married to his wife Lynn since 1986 and together they have 3 kids - Megan, Whitney and Noah. Jeff enjoys making music in his recording studio, doing production work and loves riding motorcycle with his son!

Karen has attended FBC since she was in elementary school – and she’s not telling when that was. She joined the staff in the late 1990s as a fill-in when the office manager, at that time the only office staff, took time off. In 2001, with the arrival of a new pastor and the office manager’s retirement, she became part of the regular office staff, doing whatever needed to be done. Growing up, Karen never wanted to be a ‘secretary’ or ‘bookkeeper’ but when the bookkeeping position became available she stepped in and now enjoys that part of her job more than she ever thought she would as a child. Karen and her husband, Bob, were married in 1976, have four grown children and five grandchildren (and counting, they hope!).
