What we Believe

What We Believe

About GOD

We believe there is one God eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (John 10:30; Matthew 28:19).

About the BIBLE

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and is the only authority for faith and practice. We believe it is free from error, and is sufficient for every need (II Timothy 3:16-17).

About the person and work of JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the virgin birth of Christ (Matthew 1:20); His shed blood for the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7); His bodily resurrection (I Corinthians 15:3-6); His return to heaven (Acts 1:9); and His future personal return to establish His kingdom on earth (Revelation 19:11-20:6).

About the person of the HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that all believers have received the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 6:19-20), who convicts the world of sin (John 16:8) and baptizes believers into the Body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:13).

About MAN

We believe that man (mankind) is born with a sin nature and is separated from God. The only way a relationship can be restored with God is through forgiveness of sin by the death of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:4-11).

About the ORDINANCES

We believe that in obedience to Christ, those who have believed in Him are to be baptized by immersion (Matthew 28:19), and are to partake regularly of the Lord’s Supper (I Corinthians 11:23-29), and are to be God’s ministers to the world (I Peter 2:9-10).

About the CHURCH

We believe the church is composed of those whom the Holy Spirit has baptized into Christ’s body (I Corinthians 12:13) and that it is the means by which God intends to make Himself known in this world (Ephesians 3:2-13).

About SATAN

We believe in a literal Satan and a literal lake of fire. The lake of fire is Satan’s final judgment as well as the judgment for all those whose names are not in the Book of Life (Revelation 20:7-15).

About the ETERNAL STATE

We believe that those whose names are in the Book of Life will live forever with God (Revelation 21:1-6).
